Metro Charity Services

Metro Charity

We have worked closely with Metro Charity since 2014 when we provided a joint HIV Testing service, unfortunately this service is no longer available. We occasionally host Metro Sexual Health testing at MGSD Center but the service is not avaiable every week.

Metro provide services across Kent and Medway including:-

GET IT Free condoms, testing and sexual health advice and support in Kent and Medway

Young people can order condoms and at-home testing kits from the Get it website.

METRO run sexual health events in schools, colleges, universities and local community venues, where we give advice about sexual health and provide on-the-spot tests for chlamydia, gonorrhoea and HIV. They also deliver workshops for schools, colleges, universities and youth groups about consent, sex and the law, sex and substance misuse, sexting, sexually transmitted infections and contraception. METRO work individually with young people in Medway to give in-depth advice across four sessions. Metro’s boys and young men project can provide further mentoring and support.

Free condoms for young people.

You can sign up for the C-card scheme in Greenwich, Bexley, Kent or Medway to get free condoms at pharmacies or clinics. You can also order them online from Get it for Kent or Medway.

Who can use this service: If you live in Bexley, Kent or Medway, you need to be aged 24 or under.

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust

MGSD Centre has been working with Clover Street and Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust to remove barriers and improve access to sexual health services for Trans & Non-binary people.

The main sexual health hub is at Clover Street in Chatham. They provide a complete range of sexual health services including contraceptionSTI testing and treatmentpsychosexual therapy services and care for people living with HIV. You can also pick up free condoms from any of our clinics.

Under 25? We’ve got services that are just for you. For advice and opening times call our Central Booking Team on 0300 123 1678 (please note this is not a clinic number).

The Apple Tree project is designed to make sure that reasonable adjustments are made when a person with learning disabilities needs an appointment at a sexual health clinic. By asking for Apple Tree, the person taking the call immediately knows that the caller needs a double appointment.
