SEGI Mission

The South East Gender Initiative (SEGI) exists to promote and improve the health and wellbeing of Transsexual/Transgender people through

Support, Education, Training and Information

SEGI provides a place where Transsexual/Transgender people their families and friends can meet in a safe environment to enable them to receive peer support, education, training, advice, and information, signposting opportunities for service users to access services with partnership organisations and other service providers.

The SEGI also provides a resource to other organisations, public bodies and private companies to enable them to understand the needs of the Transsexual/Transgender community in the South East of England.

SEGI Services.

Weekly Peer Support Group meeting each Thursday from 5:30pm to 8:30pm for transgender / transsexual people and people questioning their gender identity.

One to One Peer Support can be arranged for individuals, their family or close friends by appointment.

Counselling Services are available from the MGSD Centre counselling service.

Awareness Training is available covering Human Sexuality & Gender Identity.
