The South East Gender Initiative (SEGI) exists to promote and improve the health and wellbeing of Transsexual/Transgender people through
Support, Education, Training and Information
SEGI provides a place where Transsexual/Transgender people their families and friends can meet in a safe environment to enable them to receive peer support, education, training, advice, and information, signposting opportunities for service users to access services with partnership organisations and other service providers.
The SEGI also provides a resource to other organisations, public bodies and private companies to enable them to understand the needs of the Transsexual/Transgender community in the South East of England.
Weekly Peer Support GroupsSEGI Youth Wednesdays 7pm to 9pmParents & Carers support 1st Thursday of month 6.30pm to 9pm. Adult support every other Thursday 5.30pm to 9pm
One to One Peer Supportcan be arranged for individuals, their family or close friends by appointment.
Counselling Servicesare available from the MGSD Centre counselling service.
Awareness Trainingis available covering Human Sexuality & Gender Identity.
