of a Transgender or

Gender Nonconforming Person?

The SEGI Parent and Carers peer support group provides an opportunity to meet other parents and carers with children who’s Gender Identity and or Gender Expression does not conform with those typically associated with the Sex they were    assigned at birth.

The group sessions are facilitated by the South East Gender Initiative. A Rochester / Medway based support organisation for Transgender and Gender Nonconforming people, their Families and Friends. The meetings are hosted at the

Medway Gender &Sexual

Diversity Centre

331 High Street, Rochester, ME1 1DA. www.mgsd-centre.org 01634 408668  info@www.mgsd-centre.org

The group meets on the First Thursday of the month from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

The sessions are free to attend and you are welcome to attend as many sessions as you wish.

Each session provides an opportunity to discuss experiences and issues with other peers and discover useful information and signposting to help you support yourself and your family.

This peer support group was started with funding from Involving Medway, an initiative run by NHS Medway Clinical Commissioning Group, designed to encourage people to get Involved with and help make decisions about health provision in the area. It aims to help residents lead healthier, happier lives through improved  participation in community groups and activities.
